The aim of this trip was for 2 to main purposes, to see the Northern Lights and, if luck was with us, to see Killer Whales. In the natural world there are no certainties, we saw the Northern Lights but alas the Killer Whales did not show, it seems the sardines that the whales feed on this time of year had moved on and the whales had followed. Iceland is of course more than Lights and Whales and we did have the opportunity to see some of the country, albeit covered in snow and savour the delights of the thermal spas. The graffiti in Reykjavik was also fascinating and although urban/man made photography is not normally my thing i couldn't help but capture some of the striking work I saw.
