I plant a lot of teasel in my garden each year to attract the goldfinches, but so far they seem occupied elsewhere, the bees however are loving it.
Had a rare sunny day this week and took some macro shots in the garden, lots of different bees were around which was wonderful to see. I now have to search internet to find out just how many types of bees are gracing our garden with their presence.
Update. 2020.... This year I have been busy with a project to plant a wild flower meadow as a way of helping to support the bee and insect populations and I have just joined the Bumble Bee ConservationTrust (https://www.bumblebeeconservation.org/), I'm looking forward to joining them soon on Bee ID events in my local area. The garden has been full of bees this year, the garden itself has benefited from us being at home more and as a consequence, so have the bees and all their pollinator pals..
